I realy, realy want to try this os, but can't find a way to download it...

Well right now only version 4 is avaliable for download. Version 5 is being developed, but If you want you can pay $30 to help beta-test, get beta versions, and eventually get the full version. Otherwise you have to wait, and pay $30 later for the full 5.0 version.

i believe skyos 4 was taken away due to the fact it not longer represents the current development...

You don't want to use SkyOS 4.0. It would be like trying to use Windows 3.11 to see if Windows XP is any good. Its really that big of a difference.

There are so many changes and improvements....comparing it to Windows 3.11 was me being generous. I could easily have said 2.0.

Or the menuet betas, those were most likely the only stable version of windows...

You could have also compared it to the MSDOS Explorer/Task Switcher.

P.S. I had a old laptop with win3.1 black&white, it was quite fun....

P.P.S. My PC is so bad, it allmost cant handle win2000...

even though i have not tried SkyOS 5.0 myself
i will have to say it is much BETTER than windows :) and much easier than linux (i have tried 4.0a though on live cd)
