From extracting the iso file of SkyOS 3.9.8. I found there are app files is there. App files can be run on Mac OS X. Will this mean I will be able to run some Mac OS software on SkyOS?

nope, that won't work since it is a different binary format. It's not the name that makes it run on another OS. If we had used exe, would you think it would run on windows?

Btw, those applications are also incompatible with the current skyos version

Fair enough. I was just wondering because I can't really find any Stop Motion Software for SkyOS. I'll see if I can create one myself as I am in the process of partitioning my HDD. Yay!

I guess he means software for making stop motion animations. Basically just software which captures images from an imaging device, at a specified time interval.

Granted BSD and Linux (though different kernels) are both *nix systems where as SkyOS is not, but i was just wondering how straightforward (if at all possible) it was to recompile *nix binaries to run on SkyOS

you don't recompile binaries, you recompile the source ;)

some programs can just be recompiled without modification, other applications need a little tweaking or big rewriting...
